OK. Thanks to some previous advice, im going to be trying to go for something like this:

Now all I need to know is HOW to get it. (materials, haircutting advice, brushing/combing blah blah blah) Currently, my hair is short, so ill probably need to grow it, and it’s pretty straight and thick, but it sometimes gets a little frizzy. So how should i go about doing this? Detailed descriptions would be very helpful :) actually, I don’t want EXACTLY that messy look but something along those lines.

    I suggest going to whoever cuts your hair and showing them this picture. They’ll know exactly what to do! Also, if your hair is short i definetely think you need to grow it out a bit inorder to get that style. As far as how to do it one your hair is long enough and cut correctly, i suggest using a styling product called pomade. It’s basically this sticky stuff that you use to make your hair look “messy” and give you that surfer look, if thats what you going for.
